Learn French from your home or office anywhere in the world with your personal French tutor phoning you from France. We offer two different types of telephone courses:
The Telephone + e-mail courses consist of one-to-one lessons over the phone each followed by an e-mail reinforcement session and are a very efficient way to learn the language: they are tailor-made for you, whatever your level, allowing you to learn at your own rhythm. A lesson is structured as follows:
Since the telephone French courses are tailored to your individual needs they can be adapted to all levels: beginners to advanced learners. If you are a beginner it is obvious that the whole lesson cannot be entirely in French so an "interface language" is needed (to explain certain grammatical or lexical points). We use English as the "interface language", so a minimum knowledge of English is required for our beginner's courses. Once you have registered for the course you will be sent a detailed questionnaire in French or English. This questionnaire will allow your tutor to evaluate your needs and objectives and your level of French. You can learn at your own rhythm and choose the number of units you require per week. We recommend that you take at least 2 units a week (with one unit per week, your progress will be slow). If you want to learn French more quickly, you can choose to have 5 units per week, or more for an intensive course (for example two units a day - morning and afternoon). You
will agree on a timetable with your tutor who will call you at the appointed
time.
The French conversation by phone courses consist of one-to-one 25 minute French conversation lessons over the phone with your own private tutor calling you from France. These courses are focused on oral communication skills and are ideal for practising and improving your spoken French. They are specially designed for your specific conversational needs (business French, French for travel, everyday French, etc.). To get the best out of these courses you already need to have some basic knowledge of the French language so these conversation courses are not suitable for total beginners. The courses consist
of 25 minute conversation lessons
over the phone. You will be sent
course material by e-mail before
the lesson and, where necessary,
after the lesson your tutor will
send you a short evaluation of
your performance with helpful
comments by e-mail.
We will call you free of charge in most European countries, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong-Kong, China, Taiwan, or if you have a SkypeIn number (SkypeIn subscriber). If you do not have a SkypeIn number we may have to charge an additional telephone fee for some countries (please contact us). The lessons can
start within a week of your registration
and reception of your payment.
The course fee is payable in advance, at the time of registration, by PayPal, bank transfer, or cheque in euros drawn on a French bank account. If you do not have a French bank account, we recommend payment by PayPal, which is an easy and secure way to pay by credit card via Internet. If you wish to reschedule a lesson, you can do so at no extra cost with at least 24 hours' notice. With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not answer the phone when your teacher calls you, the phone lesson will be lost.
